Product Description

Ready-to-use enamel (RTU) is a kind of enamel powder mixed and milled with other additives according to the requirement of customers. It can be used directly after mixed with some water.

1. Material Ratio:
RTU Powder: 100
Clay: 6
Bentonite: 0.2
Borax: 0.3

Quartz Powder: 5
Sodium Nitrite: 0.2
Trisodium Phosphate: 0.2
Black PigmentT5-11: 4.0    
In all: 110.5
Water: 50-55

 

2. Approval Standard:

a. Firing temperature:  750-780℃.
b. Coating: smooth and delicate
c. Gloss: standard ≤ ±5
d. Acid resistance:    ≧A level 
e. Fineness: 8-30 mesh. Pass 100g such powder through a 100-mesh sieve, there will be 15-20g residue.
f. Adherence: The cast iron turns to be dark gray when the coating is chipped off.
 
3. Test Method:

a. Mill the RTU powder, water and other materials proportionally for 8~10 minutes by ball mill.
b. Pass them through 80-mesh sieve and keep the consistency at 165~170g/100ml, (1.65~1.70g/cm3).
c. Cover 120-160 micron such enamel on a cast iron plate (L ⅹW ⅹH=20 0mmⅹ 50mm ⅹ5mm ) and fire them at 750-760℃ for 12 minutes
d. Compare them with samples made from normal powder.

 

4. Introduction: 

This product is a kind of black mat glaze used for one-coat work such as cast iron, it is delicate in coating. The temperature should be very well controlled when firing to achieve good gloss.

 

5. Production Requirements:

All the qualified enamels should be grinded to 140-150 mesh first and mixed with eligible additives. Then make screening and packing after fineness meets the requirements.
